We stayed 3 nights and fell in love with the hotel and its hosts. Its a beautiful house hidden behind a door and the rooms are set around an amazing renovated courtyard. The rooms are sumptuous and very comfortable, and there’s lots of public spaces to sit and enjoy, including a beautiful roof terrace. Breakfasts are excellent and the hosts are very friendly and informative. Its in Quito old town and is an intersting area to explore, well away from the party town atmosphere of Mariscol (which is a good thing IMO).

My wife and I and another couple had the pleasure of staying four nights at Casa El Eden in early May. The hotel is well located in the hear of old town, very close to Plaza del Teatro. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, with a nice bathroom and shower area. Mario and Blanca were extremely welcoming and gracious hosts. It felt like we were visiting old friends. They were very helpful in arranging a tour outside the city on short notice and purchasing tickets for a concert. The breakfasts were also great, with a nice selection of fresh fruit and bread, and eggs made to order. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to stay in the old part of Quito.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with this lovely little B&b. Blanca and Mario were very helpful about getting around town, restaurant recommendations and recommending a guide to take us to Otovalo to the Saturday market. The room on the second floor was spacious with large double paned windows and a small balcony. Quiet because it was double paned. Bathroom modern and en suite with lots of hot water and big fluffy towels. An excellent breakfast was included cooked to order. What more could you want? Almost forgot, excellent central location to market and colonial sites.

We stayed here inbetween our excursions for five nights. Mario and Blanco the owners, are absolutely lovely. The boutique hotel is located in the old town. The rooms are spacious, clean and have everything one needs!Breakfast was lovely. What made this hotel special is the personal touch from Mario and Blanco. We needed to be up and out the door by 4.45 am, and Mario got up to make sure we were organised and to wave goodbye. He arranged the taxi service for us. We were able to leave extra bags in storage whilst we were away. Nothing was a problem. They are extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you Mario and Blanco for making our stay in Quito so special

This is a lovely small b and b in the heart of the old city. Mario and Blanca were fantastic and so accommodating. We stayed several times as we were in and out of Quito. My daughter was in tears leaving due to the kindness of the hosts! Perfect!

This hotel deserves it’s perfect rating! The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast delicious, and the location is perfect to walk to all the historic spots! But what truly separates Casa El Eden from almost anywhere I have experienced is the genuine warmth and helpfulness of your hosts Blanca and Mario. Their only goal is for you to be happy and it shows in big and small ways.

Stayed here for two nights and we are so glad that we did. Mario and Blanca are the owners and live in the beautiful home. Their attention to detail – including bath beads for the claw-foot tub, towel warmer and chocolates on the bedside – truly made our stay a five star experience. The included breakfast was plentiful consisting of a large bowl of fruit, fresh bread, coffee, juice, and eggs made to order. Thank you Maria and Blanca, for sharing your home. We will be back.

turisco-quitpConsidered to be the best preserved colonial-era city center in Latin America, the Centro Historico is the main reason why in 1978 Quito was the first city to be named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area is full of secrets to be discovered – Casa El Edén is one of them!

turisco-quito-2Home to elaborate structures built incolonial and baroquestyle, multigenerational homes turned into museums and restaurants, and cobblestone streets offering centuries-old street food and drinks, the historical part of Quito emerges as a vibrant meeting place where locals and visitors converge.
